Global Nurse Leaders Academy!
This Vision was Founded July 2003 by my Aunt Reynonda Lynn Laster-Branch, MSN, RN. Reynonda had a Vision to prepare black students for the profession of nursing. She tutored students in her basement in Oak Park, IL while envisioning a school that would prepare minority, underserved, underrepresented, and marginalized black students to succeed as nurses one day in the future. Well, their Future is Now with Global Nurse Leaders Academy. Reynonda passed away from cancer in 2010. She gave the Torch to me, Edna Hudson, PhD(s), MSN Ed, RN, Co-Founder/CEO/Chair, a GOD-fearing woman, a wife, a mother, a parent, a nurse, a person who makes a difference, a person who will make sure Reynonda’s Vision for good, solid, accessible, and equal education for all students come alive. I am proud to carry this Torch for you, Aunt Reynonda and for all the future students coming behind us, along side us, and moving forward, in front of us. ---edna
